Pro-Life Secular Arguments Against Abortion

I wanted to post some links on the secular debate against abortion. Most of the time
the PC crowd will try to evade the moral issue of abortion, or try to extricate themselves, or others, from pertinent  evidence against abortion, based on the argument that the only reason Pro-Life is against abortion is because abortion is in opposition to what Christians believe is right or wrong based on their faith. I believe the 2 are inseparable. God is the designer of human creation, and when we oppose the natural laws of God and His design, we can only harm ourselves. Faith is an important component in how we feel about abortion, but even if you are a non-believer, there are many reasons to oppose abortion. I hope these links to the secular debate will help to counter the PC argument.

Yes, it is. I was supposed to go on a March in Madison, WI, but was unable. I always wonder how people from the PC side can get excited about their cause. This battle for our unborn will be won. We just have to never give up. God is on our side.

Its the height of irony that a person who sends their own child off to kill or be killed in an illegal war would be so concerned about human life? I pray you find the counseling you very much need.

It's you, and people like you who have caused more death to our troops than would have otherwise been the case. Your inane, retrograde, and woefully ignorant politics are so familiar to me. You sound like a broken record. My son is a grown man, and he volunteered to serve, as did every man and woman in our Armed Forces today. My son is willing to give his life, if need be, to help a needy people who are being terrorized by radical Islam. He has worked alongside these same people, fought to protect these people, and has felt the loss of these people, along with the loss of his fellow comrades in this war. He is a hero, and so is every other soldier who is serving, has served, or will serve. The unborn are human, and deserving of our protection, much like the innocents in Iraq and Afghanistan that we are fighting to liberate. I don't care if you don't like this war, or our soldiers. I don't care if you don't like the idea of protecting the unborn. Take your "blessing" straight back to hell where it came from.

Not everyone is made of the same bile as you. Many find it honorable to protect life whether it be an unborn baby, and Iraqi or Afghani.

Only heartless and self centered people think others are not worth protecting. I say we abort you and your kind and then the world will be a much better place.

Only evil rejoices in the slander of noble things. You said it better though, "it" is a "trash troll". I noticed "it" is the member of 3 different Christian groups on Vox. This is disturbing to me because I checked them out, and they are valid Christian groups. Do you think "it" is trolling them too?

How does a child of Christ excuse the guilty and condemn the innocent and the honorable. Let me guess, you're also against the death penalty in America? A child is a child, no matter what you call it. The work of our soldiers in Islamic countries is for the citizens of those countries. They have lived under tyranny for centuries and those tyrants are trying to bring their tyranny to the rest of the world. That's why we are there, that's why George said we need to be there, not just WMD's. A sentinel would have sense enough to pull his head out of the sand. A sentinel who doesn't have enough sense to pull his head out will lose it in very short order. You are no sentinel unless you consider it your job to give the heads up to the 'hate America' crowd. That makes you a traitor. Those folks are aiding our enemies via a propaganda war.

I agree with you there. I really think there is something about their theology that stems from a resentment of God, and a bitterness about their own lives.

I think its a simple matter of licentiousness. If they don't hold anybody else to a standard then nobody should hold them to a standard. That and ignorance about what the Bible teaches. They don't want to know too much because they would then be held responsible for not acting on what they know. But in the end, they will be held responsible, both for supporting immoral legislation and for not seeking to know God. If I'm standing on a principal God wants us to act on, that's one thing, but if I'm standing on a principal I want God to want me to act on, then I am making God into my image. That's idolatry.

I totally agree. That is exactly what they do. When confronted with their own hypocrisy, they often get very angry and try to challenge the written word of God. They only want to understand the "comfortable" truths of God. They try to mold the bible to fit their lifestyles and beliefs, instead of seeking their own personal relationship with Him, and a total faith in His word.

You should review the comments in Infidel's post 'gay indoctrination in high school' I had a lengthy debate with two such individuals. At one point I unloaded on one who tried her bumper sticker theology on me. That turned into an all night session. I loved it.
